Macroinvertebrates (cute little water bugs) are incredible creatures. Not only are they an important link in the food chain, but they can also tell us a lot about the quality of the water that they live in. Join Westchester Land Trust’s Land Steward and Educator, Jake Sacket, to collect macroinvertebrates at this family-friendly event. We’ll talk about the health of the stream and how everything that happens within the watershed is interconnected. Nets, sampling containers, and training will be provided; be prepared to get wet and have fun!
