Join WLT’s stewardship team on Monday, February 26 to cut and remove vines to save trees as part of a forest restoration project at Goldsby Preserve in Chappaqua.

Day + Time: Monday, February 26, 10am–12pm.

Location + Parking: Goldsby Preserve in Chappaqua (This preserve is not open to the public) | Parking will be in the cul-de-sac in front of Goldsby Preserve, as this preserve has no formal parking lot. Directions to the preserve can be found here.

Difficulty: Advanced. Appropriate for ages 12 and up; minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. We will walk off-trail through thick brush.

What to Bring/Wear: Water, snacks, weather-appropriate clothing—long pants, closed-toed shoes, work gloves. WLT will provide tools (loppers) but feel free to bring your personal tools.

Safety: We will be working off-trail. There are some plants with thorns and there may be ticks and poison ivy. The best way to prevent these hazards is wearing appropriate clothing—closed-toed shoes, long pants, and long sleeves.

Registration: RSVP to jaelen@westchesterlandtrust.org.
