Join WLT’s conservation technician, Jaelen, out on the trails at Westchester Wilderness Walk / Zofnass Family preserve to lend a hand with trail maintenance and general preserve upkeep.

Day + Time: Thursday, April 25

Location + Parking: Westchester Wilderness Walk/ Zofnass Family Preserve in Pound Ridge | Parking is at the Upper Shad Road parking lot

Difficulty: Intermediate. Appropriate for ages 12 and up; minors must be accompanied by an adult. Some work will be off-trail and we will need to walk about a mile to access the site.

What to Bring/Wear: Water, snacks, weather-appropriate clothing—long pants, close-toed shoes, work gloves. WLT will provide tools (loppers) and extra work gloves, but feel free to bring your personal tools if you want to.

Safety: There are some plants with thorns and there may be ticks and poison ivy. The best way to prevent these hazards is wearing appropriate clothing—close-toed shoes, long pants, and long sleeves.
