Join WLT’s stewardship team on Thursday, July 6 from 10am–12:30pm to help remove invasive mile-a-minute at our Hunter Brook Preserve! We will be removing this vine, as well as other invasive plants, by hand throughout the floodplain to protect recent tree plantings.

Location + Parking: Hunter Brook Preserve, Yorktown | Parking is available along the pull-off at Beekman Court 200ft. past the trailhead.
Difficulty: Intermediate to advanced. Appropriate for ages 12 and up, and minors must be accompanied by an adult.
What to Bring/Wear: Long pants, close-toed shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, sunscreen and bug spray, water and snacks/lunch. Bring work gloves if you have them, extras will be provided.
Safety: We will be working off-trail. There are some plants with thorns and there may be ticks and poison ivy. The best way to prevent these hazards is wearing appropriate shoes, long pants and long sleeves.
