Join us on Saturday, September 7, for a morning of discovery at the Westchester Wilderness Walk / Zofnass Family Preserve in Pound Ridge. Led by Ben Kleist, WLT’s preserve manager, this guided hike will immerse you in the beauty of our flagship preserve. Learn the art of tree identification and gain insights into how trees adapt and change throughout the seasons. Whether you’re an outdoor enthusiast eager to deepen your knowledge or simply looking for a delightful walk in nature, this event is perfect for all ages.

Day + Time: Saturday, September 7, 10am–12pm (rain or shine).

Location + Parking: Westchester Wilderness Walk / Zofnass Family Preserve, 258 Upper Shad Road, Pound Ridge, NY | Parking is available at the lot on Upper Shad Road here.

Difficulty: Moderate. Suitable for ages 10 and up; minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The hike will be on uneven terrain.

What to Bring/Wear: Comfortable walking shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, water, and snacks. A notebook or field guide for tree identification is optional.

Safety: Please dress appropriately for a forest hike. There may be uneven ground and low-hanging branches. Bug spray and sunscreen are recommended.
