Join Westchester Land Trust at the Bedford Playhouse on Tuesday, October 22 at 7pm for a screening of the 2018 documentary, Backyard Wilderness, followed by a Q&A with one of the filmmakers. Directed by Andrew Young and Susan Todd on land protected through a conservation easement held by Westchester Land Trust, the film explores the unexpected wonders of nature that are right under our noses—in our own backyards. A staffer from the land trust will also be present to share information about land conservation.

Spanning a seasonal year around a suburban home, the film displays a stunning array of unique wildlife images and behavior—all captured by cameras mounted inside dens and nests, and moving along the forest floor and pond bottom, to reveal its inhabitants in rare and breathtaking intimacy.

The film reminds us that Wi-Fi is not the only connection that matters and that sometimes in ordinary places, you can uncover extraordinary things that can transform you forever—you just need to step outside.

Refreshments and snacks will be available for purchase via the Bedford Playhouse concessions. Contact michelle@westchesterlandtrust.org for more information.
