Explore the Hudson Valley’s rich and complex geologic history. It’s a great tale of transformation: land battered in tectonic plate collisions, submerged under the sea, later buried under a sheet of ice 2,000 feet thick. The cliffs, rolling hills, and rivers that we call home were sculpted by a billion years’ worth of landscape evolution, evidenced in rock formations at Westchester Wilderness Walk/Zofnass Family Preserve.
